Although the band reached it's demise in 1992, Warrel Dane (vocals) and Jim Shepherd (bass) later carried The Sanctuary legacy forward with the formation of Nevermore. In 2010 they reformed and brought their songs back on stage. Lead vocalist Warrel Dane died in 2017.
