A commercial and critical triumph, it debuted at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and achieved platinum certification from the BPI within just three weeks. In the United States, the album reached No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and wasalso certified platinum, while charting in the Top 10 across numerous countries worldwide. Widely regarded as one of the defining albums of the 1980s, The Seeds of Love features some of the band's most celebrated recordings, including the hit singles "Sowing the Seeds of Love," "Woman in Chains," and "Advice for the Young at Heart." This Deluxe 2LP edition on special-effect blue marble vinyl pairs the original album with a second disc of demos and rare versions, several of which are appearing on vinyl for the very first time.
