RC Succession, Marking the 55th anniversary of RC Succession's 1970 debut, their third album 'Single Man,' released in 1976, has a storied past-discontinued in less than a year after it's release, it later became the focus of a grassroots reissue campaign, eventually seeing a long-awaited re-release in 1980. The album captures a transitional phase for RC Succession, from their folk era to their electric band phase, resulting in a richly diverse sound. Most notably, it features a number of masterpieces like 'Slow Ballad,' a track that remained a signature of RC's legacy throughout their career. The energy that would soon propel RC Succession toward their 'King of Rock' era in the 1980s was already boiling over in this album. This deluxe edition includes the latest remastered audio sourced from the original master tapes of 'Single Man,' alongside contemporary singles, unreleased versions, and live studio recordings from around the time of the album's release. It is a lavish collection capturing the overflowing talent of RC Succession during that pivotal era
