Thiiird Place, A brand new 7-inch record from the soul-Afro-jazz band 'Thiiird Place'! In this increasingly chaotic world, the ultimate dance floor anthem, 'PARTY IS ALIVE,' is born! This band continues to experiment with ways to broaden the scope of 'everyone' in 'music everyone can dance to. ' I admire their colorful performances and sincere messages. Their sound and their mindset are soulful. This is a record you'll likely turn over many times in the middle of the night. -Makoichi (Omoide Yaro A-Team) This is their first new album in about two years since their first album 'This is Thirteenth Place' (2024), which garnered a lot of attention in Tokyo's live music and club scenes. This 7-inch was produced with the theme of 'What it means to keep the party going in this world. ' Side-A 'PARTY IS ALIVE' features the twin vocals of vocalist and guitarist Koichiro Toyoda and Enya Yuima. It starts off mellow and expands into a mid-tempo soul/boogie tune reminiscent of Gilberto Gil's Palco. It's a masterpiece that sings about the meaning of partying and the meaning of life. Side-B 'Before I Lose My Heart' is a dramatic song with the vocalists weaving verses around a hook by vocalist Enya Yuima. A gem of gospel soul that prays for world peace and keeps your heart strong.
