Originally released on 15th October 1976, 2026 marks the 50th Anniversary of Showaddywaddy's MILLION-SELLING #1 hit single...'Under The Moon Of Love'. • This strictly Limited Edition 7" colour vinyl celebrates this anniversary. • Remarkably, 'Under The Moon Of Love' was their ninth chart single and their 4 th Top 10 in just twoand-a-half years. • The non-Studio Album single was included in the Platinum-selling December 1976 "Greatest Hits" album and reached #4 in the UK Albums Chart. • The single knocked-off Chicago's 'If You Leave Me Now', from the #1 spot and held-off Queen 'Somebody To Love and ABBA 'Money Money Money' from the top of the chart but eventually succumbed to Johnny Mathis' seasonal hit, 'When A Child Is Born' for the coveted Christmas 1976 #1 Single. • Showaddywaddy first burst onto the scene by appearing on the early-1970s version of "Britain's Got Talent", "New Faces" winning one heat, in November 1973, and were runners-up in the "All Winners Final", which was broadcast on 28th December 1973. • Less than a year later, they had a Christmas hit after a successful 1974, which continued throughout the decade, with Showaddywaddy ultimately being crowned as the Band/Artist with the most UK hits in the 1970s than any other act. • Dubbed the hardest working Band in Britain, Showaddywaddy have more than 100 Tour dates linedup until May 2028.
