Austin based experimental indie rock darlings, Font, wrote their sophomore record over the course of two years. After their debut, Strange Burden (2024), the band wanted to reframe their approach to writing. The sound that garnered praise from Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and other critical music outlets began to feel less original. Many of the songs on this new album were built from recordings of improvised sessions in their friends', Dutch Interiors, studio in Long Beach, California, where they wrote for three weeks in the summer of 2025. After the band was able to break the mold they created on the first album, They found the bones of what American Bully XL became. "We were guided by many of the same questions that guided our first record, such as: Where does the acoustic end and the electronic begin? What's the relationship between dark and light, despair and euphoria, the self and the other? Although these are all fundamental to the band, American Bully XL is the result of the band taking those questions from the live stage and into the studio, where they learned to open the music to still more questions: What's a song? What's Texas? What's an instrument? What does it mean to be a man? What's a recording? How could you?

When will I receive a tracking number?
We provide tracking for every order. Tracking will be available once your product is shipped. All of our products are shipped out of our warehouse in Westlake Village, CA. You can track your order through your account on our website, via any of the shipping confirmation emails we've sent you, or through the Shop App.
Can I cancel my order?
Customers may cancel eligible unfulfilled items at any time before they enter the shipping process directly through their customer account portal. Once an item has entered shipment processing or has shipped, it becomes subject to our standard Returns & Refund Policy.
