PRESENTED ON LIMITED MARBLE VINYL.Marking 35 years since the original & now-legendary show took place & also featuring the original iconic cover artwork from the album’s first pressing in 1993, this classic title includes a performance from the Leipzig show by the Norwegian legends on November 26th 1990, featuring the seminal Mayhem line-up of Hellhammer, Necrobutcher, Euronymous & Dead.‘Live In Leipzig’ primarily contains live renditions of tracks from the ‘Deathcrush’ release (1987) such as ‘Necrolust’ & the title track & 1994’s landmark release, ‘De Mysteriis Dom. Sathanas’, with songs including ‘Funeral Fog’ & the ultimate black metal classic, ‘The Freezing Moon’.Mayhem are one of the undeniable leaders of the black metal genre & an inspiration for many black metal bands worldwide today, having existed for over 40 years, with an often dark & tragic history giving them unrivalled infamy. This is one of very few releases to feature this line-up – vocalist Dead committed suicide the year after the show & guitarist Euronymous was killed in 1993.This edition of ‘Live In Leipzig’ is presented on limited marble vinyl.
