To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Punk, the highly acclaimed but rarely seen Anarchy! McLaren Westwood Gang film is being re-released as a numbered limited edition boxset of 500 copies only. Presented in a large size shrinkwrapped 12"x12" box with lift-off lid. Boxset includes: A DVD of the movie (NTSC region 0), a red & black splatter vinyl soundtrack album with music and dialogue, soundtrack CD, exclusive Jamie Reid art print, Anarchy! Shot glass, Anarchy! #tote bag, 3 badges, 2 posters, embroidered patch, 3 photo prints, a certificate signed by movie director Phil Strongman, a booklet with a chapter from the book Acme Boy, QR Code for downloading and streaming the movie. Peter Bradshaw, in The Guardian, described the ANARCHY! #film as 'Interesting... shrewd' while Kieran Cashell of LIT hailed it as 'a masterpiece'. However, ANARCHY! McLaren Westwood Gang is about so much more than the Punk phenomenon and explores the notion of Malcolm McLaren as the great architect of British Punk. The film includes some serious in-depth interviews with Malcolm McLaren - by turns outrageous, thoughtful and amusing -interviews which were conducted in Paris and London as well as some stunning unseen footage about his childhood, his 1960's student activism, meeting with Vivienne Westwood and the Kings Road shops. It focuses on his key role in Punk 'anti-fashion' and the Sex Pistols plus various other scenes. ANARCHY! McLaren Westwood Gang is an authentic and remarkable document of that febrile moment in time that left such a long shadow over modern culture.
