The compilation accompanying the book - on vinyl In tandem with the book "Swedish Death Metal", a homonymous music compilation was released in 2009 featuring more than 50 relevant tracks amounting to a playing time of over 200 minutes. Apart from essential classics of the genre, this audio companion will contain many rare recordings and insiders' tips from the heyday of the Swedish Death Metal scene - the ideal opportunity for anyone who is interested to get a taste of this explosive style of music in all it's creative diversity. The vinyl box set contains 5 LPs (silver vinyl) in cover sleeves and padded inner sleeves as well as a 12-page booklet featuring extensive liner notes, a screen-printed slipmat, a die-cut patch and a poster with a Swedish Death Metal "map". The box is available in an edition of 1000 copies. Featuring rare and unreleased recordings of bands such as Entombed, Dismember, Grave, Unleashed, Marduk, Dissection, Therion, At The Gates, Tiamat and many more.
